President Trump Restores the Army

President Trump and Republican members of Congress have included $150 billion in his “One Big Beautiful Bill Act.”¹ President Trump has also his intention to build “a ‘next generation’ missile shield: the Golden Dome” to protect the US and Canada from the latest advancements in offensive missiles achieved by America’s enemies.² Admittedly, the ‘Golden Dome’ and other military innovations are both technologically and economically challenging, but as recently demonstrated by Israel’s successful defense against missile attacks, the technology exists to put these armaments into service. If Trump’s efforts to eliminate waste and corruption in the Washington D.C. establishment continue to be successful and his efforts to strengthen the US economy also succeed, then funding should not be a problem.

One positive indication of the need for Trump’s efforts to resurrect an effective military and to deploy a strong missile defense is the consistent critical reaction from America’s enemies abroad and the usual Trump critics at home.³

• Chinese representatives have have said of the missile defense system that it “heightens the risk of space becoming a battlefield.”

• A spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry “told Washington to abandon the deployment of weapons in space and said the Golden Dome would undermine strategic stability.”⁴

• North Korea’s state news agency quoted the foreign ministry as saying that “the Golden Dome creates “an outer space nuclear war scenario supporting the U.S. strategy for uni-polar domination.”

• 42 congressional Democrats stated of the Golden Dome proposal, this “raises concerns about whether defense contracts to build a Golden Dome are an effective way to protect Americans or are meant to enrich Mr. Musk and other elites.”⁵

We here at I Vote My Vote support President Trump in his work to restore America’s strong defense through his support for the military. The US defense has been seriously damaged by years of Democrat defunding and DEI initiatives, not to mention stupidity at the highest levels of the Armed Forces…how long did Biden and the Air Force Generals allow the Chinese spy balloon to loiter over military installations in 2023 before finally shooting it down over the Atlantic? Answer: About one week from January 28 to February 4.⁶ As with the Memorial Day celebrations, with all the words of love and consolation for the families and friends of those who have served nobly and even given their lives as members of the Armed Services to protect our freedoms, it is fitting that our President demonstrates his commitment to a strong and effective military. Trump’s commitment has already seen the benefit of increased recruitment for the armed forces.⁷ It seems that this President recognized the necessity for the US to stand firm in our current global circumstances to achieve peace through strength!
