Many of the foundational principles of our wonderful country are derived from a common Judeo-Christian heritage. For Christians, Jesus Christ is also known as the King of Kings. As Jesus himself would describe his kingship and kingdom we understand the His kingship is unworldly…”My kingdom is not of this world” are the words Jesus himself used.1 From the beginning of Jesus’ ministry His work and words were revolutionary based upon love for God and for others.
All one has to do is to consider the ‘Sermon on the Mount’ found in Matthew’s Gospel chapters 5 through 7. In chapter 5 the verses are found that are called the “Beatitudes.” Among these are the verses that say…
- 3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
- 4 “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
- 5 “Blessed are the gentle, for they will inherit the earth.
- 6 “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied.
- 7 “Blessed are the merciful, for they will receive mercy.
- 8 “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
- 9 “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.
- 10 “Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Jesus would go on to say in this chapter that we are to “love our(your) enemies and pray for those who persecute us(you), so that we(you) may prove ourselves(yourselves) to be sons of our(your) Father who is in heaven.”2 Many would say that these are some of the most profound moral teachings that have ever been uttered from human lips.3 Even atheists have defended these sentiments.4
Among other moral teachings of Jesus are His warnings against hypocrisy. The following statement is from Matthew chapter 23, verses 27 and 28:
“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which on the outside appear beautiful, but inside they are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness. So you too, outwardly appear righteous to people, but inwardly you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.
These words perfectly describe those who style themselves are part of the “no kings” movement. They appear to many to be ‘beautiful’ opponents of President Trump whom they call a king. The truth is that these people are just Democratic Party apologists who had no problem with Democrat Presidents Obama and Autopen…oh, excuse me, Biden…who many times pushed their minority agenda on the majority in our beloved US democracy. These Presidents with a willing Democratic Party controlling Congress often forced their laws and edicts on the people. See the blog: ‘No Kings’….Really??? dated 7/2/2025. But when President Trump initiates the policies he won with by a large majority, the voices of the ‘no kings’ people call him a king. They stand condemned by their own words and conduct according to the teachings of the “King of Kings!”
We here at I Vote My Vote greatly support and endorse the teachings of the “King of Kings” and greatly deplore the deceit of the ‘no kings’ bunch. Just $5 brings you a subscription to IVoteMyVote.com where you can stand with the “King of Kings” against this sort conduct from the left.
